The Singapore Yoga Association is led by a passionate team of dedicated volunteers and experienced yoga professionals who share a common vision of promoting safe, inclusive, and authentic yoga practices across Singapore. With diverse backgrounds in yoga education, wellness, community engagement, and organisational leadership, our team works collaboratively to support practitioners, teachers, studios, and the wider community. Together, we are committed to upholding high standards of professionalism, fostering lifelong learning, and creating opportunities that make yoga accessible and beneficial for everyone.

Zoei Zhang
Zoei oversees the Association's operations, strategic initiatives, and community engagement. She leads the planning and curation of events, represents SYA at National Sports Association (NSA) meetings, hosts representatives from international yoga federations, and works closely with industry partners to promote the growth and professionalism of yoga in Singapore. An Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) with over 3,000 teaching hours, Zoei has represented Singapore in international yoga competitions and serves as Singapore's representative to the International Yoga Federation. She also serves on the People's Association's Talent Advisory Panel, providing advisory support on yoga-related initiatives for the grassroots community and contributing to the development of yoga at the national level.

Dr. Marcus Tan
Dr. Marcus plays a key role in shaping the Association's strategic direction and supporting its ongoing development. An Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) with over 2,000 teaching hours, he provides strategic advisory on the Association's initiatives and works closely with the team behind the scenes to develop programmes centred on yoga philosophy, education, and professional development. Passionate about preserving the authenticity of yoga while making its teachings relevant to the local community, Marcus is committed to advancing high-quality yoga education and bringing meaningful learning opportunities to practitioners across Singapore.

Dr. Sujata Cowlagi
Dr. Sujata provides guidance on yoga education, research, and evidence-based practice in the association. She holds a Ph.D. in Yoga and a certification in Integrative Medicine from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), combining traditional yogic wisdom with modern medicine and neuroscience. An Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500), she has extensive international experience in education, public healthcare programmes, and research, and has contributed to global initiatives, including advisory work with the United Nations. Through her work with SYA, she supports the Association in advancing yoga education and professional standards in Singapore.

Pardeep Fogat
As the founder of Jal Yoga, Pardeep brings extensive experience as an entrepreneur, research scholar, and author to the Association. Passionate about raising the standards of yoga in Singapore, he advises on safety, best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and professional training frameworks. He also supports the development of educational resources to promote consistent teaching standards across the industry. His work has been featured in publications including Vogue Singapore, Luxury Lifestyle Magazine, Wellness Insider, Yahoo News, and Free Malaysia Today. Through his advisory role, Pardeep is committed to strengthening yoga safety, teaching standards, and professional excellence within Singapore's yoga community.

Jasmine Loh
As the Co-Founder of Jal Yoga, Jasmine brings over 30 years of experience in marketing, business development, and wellness entrepreneurship. Passionate about holistic wellbeing, she has successfully built an international yoga brand and continues to champion health, confidence, and self-care through yoga and wellness initiatives. Within SYA, Jasmine provides valuable strategic and commercial insights, supporting organizational development, partnerships, and business networking while helping to identify opportunities and manage risks. Her work has been featured in publications including Mindbody, Her World Singapore, Free Malaysia Today, and the Daily Tribune (Philippines).

Communications, Content, and Community Lead
Yen Feng
Yen contributes to the Association's marketing, communications, and community outreach initiatives. As a yoga teacher, editor, and Founder of The Yoga Edit, as well as a Columbia University alumnus and Founding Member of the International Association of Religion Journalists (IARJ), he brings a strong background in writing and storytelling to the Association. Yen curates educational content, contributes articles and newsletters, and supports SYA's social media platforms to foster greater engagement within the yoga community. He also actively supports the Association's community outreach efforts by volunteering to teach yoga for individuals in recovery and other social impact initiatives, reflecting SYA's commitment to making yoga accessible and beneficial to all.

Anna Chan
Anna acts as a key liaison between the Association and the yoga teaching community. After leaving her corporate career to pursue her passion for yoga, she became a Yoga Alliance-certified yoga instructor and is also certified in Aerial Yoga and Prenatal Yoga. Passionate about helping others achieve greater balance and mindfulness, Anna actively supports SYA by promoting the Association's initiatives within the industry, strengthening engagement with yoga instructors, and coordinating community outreach and voluntary yoga programmes. Through her work, she helps foster a collaborative and connected yoga community in Singapore.
