Association Member (Individual)

Association members are non-technical members, volunteers, and other individual members who can participate in events, courses, and workshops at subsidized rates. 

 

Association membership is opened to all Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, and passport holders residing permanently or temporarily in Singapore. Association members may hold an elected position on the SYOGA Executive Committee. 

Benefits

  • Membership Certificate (Soft Copy) $10 printing fee for hard copies.

  • Monthly general newsletter

​

  • Eligible to participate in SYOGA’s events and workshops planning, hosting, and operations. 

​

  • Eligible to collaborate as a partner of SYOGA to promote your business or services. Subjected to approval by board members. 

​

  • Eligible to attend SYOGA’s run courses/workshops at discounted member rates 

​

  • Priority invitation to participate in courses, workshops, and events conducted by other partners and collaborators of SYOGA

​

  • Discounted spectator entry to any of SYOGA organised Championships

Partner Member (Gyms & Studios)

Partner Members are other yoga associations, clubs and businesses in Singapore registered with either of the following:

 

  • the Registrar of Societies (ROS)

​

  • corporate or business entities registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA),

​

  • recognised as yoga associations, or yoga businesses that are willing to observe the rules and regulations of SYOGA

​

  • actively engaged in yoga and delivering the sport to the general public

Benefits

  • Affiliation with Singapore Yoga Association brings an organization a wide array of benefits and recognition as a partner of a National Sports Association. Only affiliated partners have access to recognised coaches, referees and athletes training programs. Affiliated partners can provide their members with a full range of opportunities to participate and compete in Yoga Championships organized by SYOGA and International invitations that’s been extended to SYOGA. Members of affiliated partners have the opportunity to join SYOGA’s National Team to represent Singapore to take part in International Championships.

  • Eligibility to enter SYOGA’s events and competitions

  • Official Certificate of Membership that confirms a partner's adherence to National quality standards

​

  • Support for business, membership and training related queries

​

  • Business promotion though the SYOGA’s website

​

  • Ability to host sanctioned courses/workshops/events

  • Access to 3rd Level Consulting, providing additional resources, education and consulting services to partners

​

  • Access to National programmes and resources

​

  • Access to continuous professional development workshops

​

  • Ability to work with SYOGA to create training classes specially for Athlete members based on international championship syllabuses. 

​

  • Ability to host an Athlete member to train on your location for upcoming Championships

Athlete Member 

Athlete members are competitive yoga practitioners. These athletes would also be registered and training with an SYOGA-Affiliated Partner Member.

  • Opportunity to join the SYOGA’s National Team to represent Singapore in International Championships.

  • Subsidized rates for trainings with partner members and further yoga trainings and education with SYOGA.

​

  • Free spectator entry to all events and championships organised by SYOGA​

Technical Member (Coaches, Judges, Referees)

Technical membership is a special category of membership offered to coaches and judges who have successfully completed required competencies by attending one of SYOGA’s accreditation courses in Coaching or Judging.

  • Free SYOGA coaches, referee, or judge T-shirt

​

  • Merchant discounts with SYOGA’s partners

​

  • Regular updates from SYOGA and important news and updates from IYF

​

  • Access to the SG National Programme for all disciplines

​

  • Free entry to spectate at any of SYOGA organised events and championships

​

  • Eligible to attend SYOGA run courses/workshops at discounted member rates

​

  • Eligible to participate in SYOGA’s competitions and events

​

  • Eligible to participate in meetings and events conducted by other bodies and on the invitation of SYOGA

​

  • To be entitled to subsidies, if any, provided by SYOGA for their professional development​

Full Member 

Full members are prominent groups that represent the different people within the yoga community. This can include, yoga practitioners, judges, coaches and others.

 

Full Members are any society or association that are

​

  • registered with the Registry of Societies under the Societies Act (Cap 311)

​

  • have a minimum of 25 valid individual members

​

  • actively engaged in activities which are directly related to furthering yoga in Singapore

​

  • paying the prescribed yearly subscription fee

Benefits

  • Each Full Member shall be entitled to appoint a representative which shall each have the right to vote at all General Meetings.

​

  • Representatives of a Full Member has the eligibility to be elected as an Executive Committee of the SYOGA.

​

  • Full members have the right to attend, speak and vote at the AGM of the association

​

  • Eligible to receive full benefits of a Partner Member.

​

  • Official Annual Certificate of Membership or card

​

  • To receive technical updates and relevant information from SYOGA and that SYOGA has received from IYF, GAISF, SNOC, SS, and other yoga/sports bodies
